Selling

Set up the download store with Stripe

Org admin · Manage billingRequires Download Store

Price Tiers: a name, a license and a price per download size
Price Tiers: a name, a license and a price per download size.

Setup for selling photo downloads from your galleries. Five tabs, and the order they are done in matters.

The setup order

  1. 1

    Stripe Connect

Click Connect Stripe Account and complete Stripe's onboarding. You come back to the dashboard when it finishes. The status has to read Active, that needs Stripe to report both charges and payouts enabled, which can take a business day or two.
  2. 2

    Platform Terms

Scroll the terms to the bottom, tick the box, and accept. The checkbox stays disabled until you have actually scrolled to the end. A copy is emailed to whoever accepts, and their name is recorded against the organization.
  3. 3

    License Templates

Three fixed types: Personal, Editorial and Commercial. You cannot add a fourth. Either keep the GalleryID default, customize the text, or upload your own PDF at 5 MB or less.
  4. 4

    Price Tiers

Create a named tier, pick its license, and price at least one of the four download sizes. A size left blank is disabled, not free.
  5. 5

    Store Defaults

Optional. Turns the store on for newly created galleries and sets the full-gallery bundle defaults. Existing galleries are not affected.

Then turn the store on for the individual galleries you want to sell from. That switch lives in gallery settings, not here.

Before a tier or bundle can reference a license

Customize or upload each license you plan to sell before you build price tiers. An untouched GalleryID default has no saved record behind it yet, so it cannot be picked cleanly in the license selector, and the governing law and credit line settings on that card will refuse to save until the text is saved once.

Money

  • •GalleryID takes 0% commission. Payments go straight to your Stripe account.
  • •Stripe processing fees come out of your Stripe balance, and payout timing is Stripe’s.
  • •All tax is yours, sales tax, VAT and income tax. The platform terms say so explicitly.
  • •Refunds and chargebacks are handled in Stripe, not here.
Store Settings and Sales need an organization admin account. A user who has the billing flag but is not an admin can open both tabs and see them render, while each action behind them is refused, which looks like an empty store rather than a permission problem.
GalleryID

Athlete naming for sports photographers and athletic departments. GalleryID Desktop ingests, culls and captions on your own computer, and nothing is uploaded; SidelineID is Desktop on your phone at the game. GalleryID Cloud is the hosted archive you search by athlete name. The built-in Roster Library covers NCAA Division I, II and III and the major US pro leagues.

Find photos by athlete, not by filename.
